Sara is Executive Pastry Chef at Sara Lime. She has always been passionate about food, especially dessert. This admiration cum obsession led her to leave the rural Midwest for New York City. There she studied Classic Pastry Arts at the French Culinary Institute and turned a hobby into a professional craft. After five years of living and eating her way through New York, she moved to San Francisco where she worked at the Williams-Sonoma corporate headquarters as a food developer. She now spends her time exploring the Bay Area's culinary offerings and designing specialty cakes and cupcakes for weddings, showers and other parties on a commission basis. She has a Bachelor's in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has written freelance about food for publications such as Time Out New York, eHow.com and Pastryscoop.com. Anne is a Chicago native who managed a successful pastry shop in Lincoln Square that specialized in European cakes and desserts. Though she has also attended culinary school at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, she has always been a naturally gifted chef who loves to cook with spices from Turkey and the Mediterranean. She moved to the Bay Area in 2010 to pursue entrepreneurial endeavors and spends her free time traveling abroad, studying language and cooking up a storm.
